Your mission
SalesPower is building the economic infrastructure for small and midsized businesses. SalesPower makes it easy to start, run and scale an internet business.  This product helps our users generate, collect, measure, analyze and grow revenue. We are building new products from the ground up and integrating with partners.

We are looking for a new, future-oriented engineering leader (CTO) who brings a combination of people leadership and strategic technical vision to help us achieve our goal of becoming the go-to financial operating system for small and midsized businesses across Europe.

You will:

  • Set the technological vision for product and company
  • Ensure that our technological resources meet our short and long-term goals
  • Stay informed of new trends and best practices in the tech landscape
  • Working on a new greenfield project
  • Work with the engineering team to identify, select, and implement cutting-edge solutions to meet current and future needs
  • Develop standards and procedures to ensure consistent quality standards that allow teams to work quickly and autonomously
  • Track, analyze, and monitor performance metrics
  • Act as a mentor to engineering team members
  • Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity
  • Design and implement APIs, user experiences, and the underlying infrastructure for a critical and highly visible product
  • Work with a wide range of systems, processes and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end
  • Be actively involved in strategic direction and product decisions
  • Work closely with our stakeholders to understand their needs and build products to help them be more successful on SalesPower
Your profile

You may be a fit for this role if:

  • You still code, and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty from time to time (hands-on)
  • You have in-depth knowledge of cloud architecture, DevOps, and software design best practices
  • You have experience building scalable and resilient architecture on the AWS cloud
  • You have experience with modern engineering practices such as Test-driven development (TDD), Domain-driven design (DDD) and refactoring
  • You have strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • You possess excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • You speak fluent English
  • You enjoy modeling challenges and have a high bar for keeping your solutions expressive yet simple to use
Pluses
  • You have led a team of 20+ developers (ideally through a scale-up process, Series A or B funding round, or similar)
  • You speak German
  • Experience in a finance domain or any platform that processes payments
